Privacy Policy

UmmahAlert was built around one principle: your data stays on your phone. This app is 100% local and anonymous — no account, no tracking, no server.
1. What we collect
Nothing personal. Ever. UmmahAlert does not collect, transmit, or share any personal data. There is no account system, no email address, no name, no location, and no device identifier linked to you.
2. What stays on your device
- Calendar data — the hijri calendar is computed locally from the Umm al-Qura calendar and refreshed from the public AlAdhan API (a request that contains no personal information).
- Your settings — language, reminder preferences, moon-confirmation answers — stored only in your device's local storage.
- Your notifications — reminders are scheduled on your device by the operating system. Nothing is sent to us.
3. Payments & subscriptions (RevenueCat)
Premium subscriptions are processed entirely by Apple (App Store) or Google (Play Store) through the RevenueCat SDK. We do not receive or store your payment details, name, or email. RevenueCat receives a purchase confirmation (product, date, and an anonymous installation identifier) solely to verify and restore your subscription. RevenueCat's own data practices are governed by its privacy policy.
4. No analytics, no ads, no trackers
UmmahAlert contains no advertising SDKs, no analytics frameworks, and no third-party trackers. There is nothing to opt out of — and nothing to consent to — beyond the standard permission to show local notifications, which you control in your device settings at any time.
5. Data retention & deletion
Because no data ever leaves your device, there is no server-side data to retain or delete. To erase everything: uninstall the app. Your calendar, settings and preferences are removed with it. If you used Apple's or Google's subscription service, you can cancel or request data deletion through your store account (see the store's own privacy controls).
6. Third-party services
- AlAdhan API — public hijri calendar data; no personal data is sent.
- RevenueCat — subscription verification (see section 3).
- Apple App Store / Google Play — payment processing and app distribution.
7. Children's privacy
UmmahAlert may be used by anyone. We do not collect any information from anyone, including children under 13, so there is nothing to protect beyond what is described above.
8. Changes to this policy
If this policy ever changes, the updated version will be published on this page with a new effective date. Any change that would start collecting data would require your explicit consent.
